Abstract

The Human Resource (HR) field worldwide is compelled to adapt to technology-driven global trends, leading to transformative changes within organizations. The emergence of big data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning has significant implications not just for marketing and finance but also for the field of human resources. This chapter elucidates the evolution of human resource analytics (HRA) in conjunction with the integration of technology in the HR domain. Despite ongoing development, research in this subject is progressing swiftly. Primarily, this study will explain the notion of HRA and its associated domains. Currently, both practitioners and academics continue to employ a range of terminologies to explain the concept of HRA. This study aims to resolve the ongoing debate. The discussion also covers related concepts such as HR analytics readiness (HRAR), the necessary skills to equip HR for digital transformation, and the HR analytics maturity model. This study additionally compiles recommendations from researchers that can serve as subjects for future research related to HRA.
