Abstract
With the continuing evolution of modern handheld mobile devices, an opportunity has arisen for a more comprehensive integration of these devices into educational environments. This paper details the design and implementation of an intelligent, light-weight, distributed Java platform based framework for the provision of mobile services (mServices) within an InfoStation-based mLearning environment. A multi-agent system, acting as a conduit between the mService applications and the mobile users is detailed. The deployment of this system for the integration of the supported services into a blended learning experience for system users is also outlined.
