Industrial Wastewater Treatment, Recycling, and Reuse: An Overview

Abstract

Water availability; usage, treatment, and discharge of used water; and possible ways of recycling and reusing this used water are briefly discussed here. Issues pertaining to industrial wastewaters, sources of generation, characterization of wastewaters, and various methodologies of wastewater treatment have been reviewed along with economic perspectives of water management. Recent developments in the area of industrial wastewater treatment, recycling, and reuse are also briefly outlined here.
