Abstract

This book aims to assist those working with children and young people in out-of-home care (OHC), or on their behalf. Its purpose is to lift educational aspirations, expectations and outcomes of this cohort of students by improving the knowledge base within this helping domain. The volume offers empirical insights and best practice examples of teaching and learning with children and young people in care. The content applies to formal learning settings, the home (foster care, kinship care, residential care and other OHC settings) as well as within the community.
