Abstract

Education today is undergoing change, supported by relevant technologies, to enhance both content delivery and the student learning experience. How change can be achieved would vary between education institutions and approaches have been or are being developed to react to specific needs. Eruptive education is considered here as education that utilizes eruptive technologies to improve the education experience for the student and goes further than current disruptive approaches. Eruptive technologies are considered here as technologies to support new education support models, new content creation methods, multiple content distribution channels, and support for multiple user platforms.
