Abstract

This paper proposed a new scheme for separation and suppression of co-channel signals in mobile satellite communication system by using DOA based DBF with Multiple Beam Antenna (MBA) array. In this scheme, the extended 2-D MUSIC algorithm is used to estimate the azimuth and elevation angles of co-channel signals received by MBA in satellite and with the DOA based constrained DBF, pointing beam will separate and suppress these co-channel signals.
