Abstract
Range measurements for cerium ions implanted in CaF2 have been made for the energy range 50 to 400 keV. The projected ranges and range distributions determined by RBS have been compared with theoretical estimates. Calculations were made for a selection of nuclear interaction potentials and various electronic stopping factors. Good agreement between theory and experiment has been achieved by means of a Molière potential.
