Abstract

Kinetic measurements were performed on the reduction of NO by NH3 over a commercial ‘DeNox’ catalyst in order to test several kinetic models. The best results were obtained with a simple Power Rate Law model. Progressively less accurate predictions were given by a modified Eley-Rideal model, a two-site Langmuir-Hinshelwood model, a one-site Langmuir-Hinshelwood model, and finally a ‘pure’ Eley-Rideal model.
