Abstract
Training in-service teachers is a research topic in many studies over the years in different areas. It is concluded that training in-service teachers should be raised in ways that produce meaningful learning of the content being taught, and to encourage in a greater or lesser extent, to improve their teaching practice. In physical education, there are also many studies examining the effect of this topic on improving teaching practice. Most of them, insists on encourage participation and collaborative group of teachers, active learning opportunities, and focus on content consistent with individual and school needs. It should be noted that while there are multiple studies that identifies and discusses the characteristics of effective teacher education programmes, not so many discuss about what should be the characteristics of effective in-service education programmes. The purpose of this paper is to perform a literature review to discuss some of the proposals of existing on training in-service education, in order to give a new proposal for teaching and learning of a particular teaching model for physical education area, as the sport education model. Innovating proposal that is planned to work on site and not on site, and that is consistent with national and international effective in-service programmes, which promotes the use of information and communication technologies, group, reflexive and active learning among the participants.
