Abstract
Exploring the excess of programming language. Technology is much morethan a tool. It is a space in which society’s both implicit and explicit actionsare performed and asked to be performed. Making art with technology im-plies an understanding of this space. It implies an understanding of code, itsstructure and the force of its unwritten text. A place to start this investi-gation is from a place that diminishes the force of the interface (GUI) andhighlights the one of text. I choose the Unix Shell. With it, I developed andperformed live an audio visual performance. With it I choose to confrontwith a medium and force it into dialogic territories despite necessitatingonly literal/logical actions in order to function. What is a (programming)language?
