Noisy-mess-scapes. Free improvisation of noise music with Dr. Kerry Hagan.
Technical Description:
The software utilised for this performance(s) were a combination of many tools from the freesound.org project — one of the largest online collections of samples available for free. Samples were selected at random and modified in real-time via a number of ad-hoc audio effects. The navigation and morphing from one sound to the next was controlled via a Wacom tablet whose pen navigated the “map” soundscape in the interface.
