Abstract

This paper brings a new insight into the formation of NO₂ over Co/γ-Al₂O₃ catalysts during the C₃H₆-SCR of NO which is shown not to be formed via the direct oxidation of NO with O₂. This data implies a necessary re-evaluation of the current theories on the reaction mechanism.
