Abstract

Connected Drones are next-generation technology currently being shaped for a range of use cases. This chapter presents a detailed overview of next-generation connected traffic by using Unmanned Ariel Vehicles (UAVs) or drones. It also discusses the existing technologies and standards of UAVs and related issues and highlights the main challenges for new and reliable connected network requirements for integrating UAVs. Finally, the chapter concludes with the main findings and future directions toward connected traffic using UAVs.
