Abstract

This paper1 describes the main Service Layer's elements of Wireless Billboard Channels (WBCs) used for service Advertisement and Discovery in the Ubiquitous Consumer Wireless World (UCWW). The WBC service provider's central node works as a Multi-Agent System (MAS) for collecting, clustering, scheduling, indexing, and encoding of service descriptions (SDs). After receiving the needed SDs and based on the user profile and terminal's Composite Capabilities / Preferences Profile (CC/PP), the terminal discovers the "best" services in each category and associates with them in an intelligent way.
