Abstract

Gallic acid monohydrate is the first tetramorphic hydrate for which fractional coordinates have been determined, and analysis of the hydrogen bonding patterns in these and other polymorphic hydrates suggests that waters of hydration are a nemesis to crystal engineers.(Figure Presented)
