Abstract
This book contributes significantly to the literature on collaborative research and practice in music and health spaces. It is one of few texts to give primacy to the voice of the person with lived experience of using music for their own health and wellbeing. Whilst Devlin et al. (1) have extensively documented the latest research on co-authored and participant-led literature, it remains true that many texts on music and health omit the voice of the person using music for their own health and wellbeing. We believe this book is an important contribution to redressing the balance. We hope this collection provokes questions, discussion, and a desire to find out more.
