Abstract

This chapter outlines the principles and process or rehabilitation for elderly people. It discusses the need for an inter-disciplinary team approach, comprehensive assessment, goal setting and program evaluation. It also discusses some of the major rehabilitation challenges faced by elderly people with chronic cardiac, respiratory and musculo-skeletal and neurological disorders and for those following a lower limb amputation.
