Abstract
Sea-Sounds is an Art Song concert programme featuring two song cycles: Watershed by Ailís Ní Ríain & Sea-Pictures by Sir Edward Elgar, featuring Julie Comparini (contralto), Yonit Kosovske (piano), and Jessica Brown (poet). There were two performances in Bremen, Germany, both of which included a musical-literary programme surrounded visually by a light projection by artist Sara Förster using overhead projectors and glass structures reminiscent of water and its reflections, performed live and individually tailored to the performance space. These performances also included recitations of Jessica's poetry into German, read by Schirin Nowrousian.
