Abstract
This paper investigates the effectiveness of the structured singular value, μ, as a tool for analysing the stability robustness of an integrated flight and propulsion control (IFPC) system for an experimental STOVL aircraft configuration. Solutions of the resulting μ analysis problem reveal the somewhat conservative results provided by current software for computing μ with strictly real parameter uncertainty.
