Abstract
Doping of polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA) polymer optical fibre (POF) with Trans-4-stilbenemethanol (TS) increases the sensitivity to radiation by a factor of over two. The potential of step index TS doped PMMA POF for online radiation monitoring is reported.
