T1 - Transform domain equalizer for 2 dimensional read channel
AU - Conway, Richard

N2 - A key component of a 2 dimensional read channel architecture is the 2 D equalizer. For 2-D PRML channels, the complexity of the equalizer needed is high and presents a challenge for practical implementation. A new transform domain 2-D equalizer for use in multitrack 2D storage systems is presented. The new architecture offers a significant reduction in complexity for short length transforms, when compared to an equivalent time-domain equalizer.
