Abstract
This chapter discusses the need for innovative teaching pedagogies in business education. This requires preparing students for an uncertain future. We seek to prepare our students to adapt, given the rapid pace of technological advancements and global challenges. The authors argue that traditional lecture-driven approaches are no longer sufficient. Instead, education must shift towards active learning, challenge-based tasks and digital tools and exposing students to complex scenarios and moving targets. The chapter introduces the Learning Innovation for Enterprise (LIFE) module at Dublin City University (DCU) as an example of this transformative approach. This capstone initiative for first-year undergraduate business students across all programmes combines experiential and challenge-based learning to nurture entrepreneurial and adaptive thinking.
