Abstract

Voodoo Bodies is an Interactive Photography Exhibition. The exhibition space has been fitted with cameras which track the audience movements, data which is then used to feed a music generator software. That is, as the audience keeps moving, the music generated adds in complexity.

Technical Description: The software is developed in EyesWeb, an opensource toolkit that enables image tracking and manipulation. For the installation, the software calculated the amount of movement in the area delimited by the photo stands. This data was then sent to Max/Msp for the sound generation engine and algorithmically generated music.
