Abstract
Yonit Kosovske performed book 1 of JS Bach's Well Tempered Clavier in the City Assembly House in Dublin, Ireland, This performance was part of Open House Dublin 2018, the 13th annual edition of the festival, taking place from October 12th–14th. It showcased a variety of buildings, including those not usually open to the public, and offered tours with expert guides. The festival aimed to celebrate and highlight the city's architecture, explore its history, and inspire new ways of living. Open House Dublin, the largest architecture festival in Ireland, focused on a theme that year exploring the influence of our European neighbours on Dublin's built heritage, from Dutch Billies and Italian neoclassicism to Bauhaus-inspired modernism. It also included a Junior program of architecture-themed events for children and young people. Open House Limerick, also held in 2018, had a theme of "Architecture is Community". It explored how spaces are used by different groups and how they are reimagined over time. The 2018 Open House events included tours, talks with architects and historians, and access to private buildings and spaces. Open House Dublin has been running since 2005, and Open House Limerick since 2012, making them well-established events in their respective cities.
